Richard Japuneyo Shing is an archeologist working in the archeologist section at the Vanuatu Cultural Center. He studied archeology in Papua New Guinea and he's specialized in Lapita people archeology,  people who arrived in the Melanesia 3000 years ago. He went to a lot of different islands in Vanuatu to carry out archeology researches.

Richard is also a musician, reggae singer, who performed on stage for the Fest'Napuan Festival in Port-Vila.
