Samuel Hokororo, was born in 1990 in Temeke, Dar es Salaam. He started singing when he was eight years old, at school, at home and in the church choir. In 2006 he went to the Dogodogo center – a center for street children – and received training in theatre, dance and music. It was there that he learned to play the guitar. Samuel was an excellent student and since he left the Dogodogo center in 2008 he has been working full time with music.
