Sangeeta Singh is from Nakelo, Tailevu in Fiji. She is a prose and poetry writer and an amateur photographer trained at the Oceania Centre for Arts, Culture and Pacific Studies in Suva.  She uses her art to express social constructs regarding race, gender and sexuality. Her work is inspired by women, family, history, dilemma, chaos and nature. She is also influenced by the works of Frida Kahlo, Bollywood and Hinduism.
Frida Kahlo sums up how she feel as an "artist" : I paint my own reality. The only thing I know is that I paint because I need to, and I paint whatever passes through my head without any other consideration.
