SIMON WILLIAM KUM, is an actor-producer-director born in Limbe in South-West Cameroon in 1983. He grew up in a modest family and is currently the father of two children, Princess Kum and Junior Kum. His academic career was marked by a spell at the bilingual primary school LIMBE DOWN BEACH. He then continued his studies at the bilingual Limbe High School, GBHS LIMBE, where he obtained his GCE Advanced Level. He was then admitted to the Faculty of Bilingual Literature at the University of Buea. Fascinated by the 7th art, he decided in January 2004 to put an end to his studies after two years at university to embark on training in acting and directing at Alphonse ONGOLO's "Espace Art" training centre. In order to perfect his skills in the profession, he decided to do on-the-job and online training from 2011 to 2014 in Cameroon and Nigeria.
During his training period, he was able to seize opportunities by playing in several projects from 2005 to 2015 following the example of ʺ Diamant sacrée and Negro ʺ by Alphonse ONGOLO; ʺ Préservatif percé et Ombre des soupçons ʺ de Serge KENDJO ; ʺ Ma Femme, Mon Beau ʺ de Edmond FOSSITO ; ʺEntre Amisʺ de OUSMANE Stéphane et enfin ʺBeautiful day to dieʺ de Guillaume TAMBELE
He began his first steps as Producer and Director in 2015 with his first short film ʺ AWA ʺ; he then followed this with his first feature film ʺ HUNTED in 2016; ʺ BEHIND ʺ in 2017 and the same year he was to be assistant director of the series ʺ KOLA DU LION ʺ. In 2018 he produced his third feature film ʺME-NAHʺ, and acted in the film ʺ Un Délit de Zéro ʺ by Laure KAMDEM. In 2019, he produces and directs his first series''ECHEC ET MAT'' and his fourth feature film ʺ SANGOUNA ʺ. In 2020, he produces and directs his second series ʺ GUERRE DES SEXES ʺ and his fifth feature film ʺ SIN ʺ.

In 2021 he directs and produces his third series''AU FEMININ''.
In 2022 he directs and produces his fourth series''VENGEANCE''.
With more than fifteen years of experience under his belt, in 2020 he deemed it necessary to set up his structure called ʺWAVES GROUPʺ made up of two entities so one called ʺWaves distribution ʺ specialising in the distribution of cinematographic works in the four corners of the world; and the other'' Waves film production'' in audiovisual production and directing.
In 2018, he was awarded best actor at the FICIB festival with his film ʺ BEHIND ʺ and also received the special jury prize with his film ʺ HUNTED ʺ.
In 2021, he won the jury's special mention with his series ʺ GUERRRE DES SEXES ʺ at Canada's Vue d' Afrique festival.
