Vanessa Quai is known as the "Pacific Songbird". She is a song writer and composer. Achieving 5 international music Award, in Australia, Egypt and Europe. The latest award she won was, winning the first prize of the "Golden Stag International Singing Competition", held in Brasov, Romania, in 2005. She has toured and performed in major music festivals, as guest artist, in Canada, Egypt, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia, Tahiti, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, and Solomon Islands, and released 7 solo albums ever since at the age of 10. Vanessa sold over 20,000 Cds worldwide. Her latest song "Family" is a song track of a recent UNICEF film "The Human Face". Vanessa was the honorary guest artist at the Leaders Prayer Breakfast, at the Australian Federal Parliament House in Canberra, hosted by Hon. Prime Minister John Howard in 2004. Vanessa celebrated her first decade of her music career in 2007, where she received the Vanuatu national medal of Merit for being recognized as the youngest ambassador of Vanuatu through music. She was also decorated with the Vanuatu National Silver Jubilee medal, by the President of the Republic of Vanuatu, for the first ever youngest ni-vanuatu female to achieve a first musical decade.
