William NGENDANDUMWE born at Kigali 1977.His arts interest begun from his childhood when he used to read comic books and got interested by doing the same .He dreamed of being artist but He also loved Geography and Languages. But He went to learn Chemistry and Math, after he changed a school to learn Languages.
 
In 1995 He started to do arts as his profession helped by his brother-in–law who introduced him to some techniques of Branding and doing Sign posts; He has for many Societies and Shops meanwhile doing interior designs.
1997 He took a decision to work for his self. This was light to his career .He started to buy read many art books about drawing, sketching, doing portraits by pencils, water colors, pastels, oil…
 
In mid 1997 He received oil paint , framed canvas and artist's brushes as gift from his friend from Belgium, and did his first painting "fruits still life", but before He had done many pencils and water colors' sketches .
He have done many comics but one of them was awarded 5th place in a competition about children rights, organized by IBARWA (a Rwandan Association of Writers).
 
2004 started to do many paintings inspired by many sketches he had done before. One of them is "A girl playing flute". He used to do Realism paintings but He started to do some abstract and cubism sketches. He used to visit different artists' exhibitions to get inspired. Some exhibitions like one of big Rwandan artists like Epa Binamungu , Bushayija Pascal and Methode Ndayiheke from Burundi intrigued me so much that hegot motivated to paint more.
 
2005-2006 He made many designs in different houses and Bars and did many realism paintings, but He was not known.
2006 he met Collin SEKAJUGO and he joined him when he founded IVUKA Arts
In 2008. he made a design for LA FIESTA MEXICAN RESTAURANT and he painted some Mariachi and Piñata scenes; it's there he did his first exhibition 2010 he made exhibition in American Embassy at Kigali with IVUKA ARTS.
Mid 2010-2012 he went to work with UBURANGA ARTS STUDIO

2011 He sent my paintings to Japan for exhibition by IZUMI TANAKA one of his best friends.
2012 He made his first solo exhibition in HEAVEN RESTAURANT

2013 Danny introduced him to Karen from US and introduce a project" SING AND I PAINT". Which interested him much; it's about helping youth to know a relation between Music and Painting, where they try to play a game in which one group of children play musical instruments including come kitchen tools. And other group tries to paint following the music rhythm. Now he has to spread his knowledge and experience in different places starting by Africa in a personal project called "ONE WEEK TO AWAKE THE TALENT "in which he spend a week or less in every place he travel giving them basic knowledge in painting and music or any knowledge he has, to help them to discover the talent they have.
