Winnie Murugi is in her formative years as an artist. She is a yoga teacher, writer, poet and spoken word artist. Looking back at her life cycle, she appreciates her ability in public speaking. It has been a path full of adventure, curiosity and experimenting.Her journey as an artist started early…as early as her pre-school days. She recently learnt from her mother and nursery school teacher that as soon as she was able to learn the alphabets she wouldn't stop writing. Apparently she spoke her first word at 7months of age. I must say my high school composition writing exercises were unconsciously defining moments. After high school she felt so lonely, dissatisfied and vision less and the day she did her first article everything changed. Since then she has been writing all sorts of works: poetry, spoken word, articles, argumentative papers just to mention a few and her romance with words is not about to come to an end.
