Zelalem Woldemariam was born and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Known to be an enthusiastic and dedicated professional, Zelalem is an exceptional leader who is able to develop and motivate others to achieve target goals. He is able to demonstrate a strong ability to manage projects from conception through to a successful completion. Being a natural businessman at a very young age and after graduating from a renowned college in the field of marketing, he has been working as a professional and successful marketer for the past 14 years. Acquiring knowledge and experience from diverse companies and people from all walks of life, He is a proactive individual with a logical approach to challenges.
Due to his diligence, hard work and passion, Zelalem has been able to grasp his childhood dream of film making. His love for film making, apparent even at a young age was finally turned into a reality at the beginning of 2006. He is currently the owner of an Ethiopian production company by the name of Zeleman Production, which has released a feature film entitled "The 11th Hour." Zelalem was part of the story writing, directing and producing in a proficient manner."The 11th Hour" hit Ethiopian cinemas on May 2006 and is now available on VCD and DVD both locally and internationally.

Director of the movie, Zelalem Woldemariam has put a great amount of effort in making his first movie and has truly been successful in getting credit around the world.
Zelalem Woldemariam has also directed various documentary films for different organizations and NGO's such as:

UNICEF -
Speak Africa, UN week Exhibition, Joining Hands for the Progress in the New Millennium, Food and Nutrition, World Food Day in Asella, Our Stories, UN Tree Planting Day, and Increasing accessibilities for people with Disabilities as a Director/Producer.
I have also given various training programs on film making and media for UNICEF's youth projects.

A documentary on Women's Mentoring Program as a Director/Producer

LDM Productions -
a French Production company which currently made partnership with the United Nation Development Programme (UNDP), to promote the Eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). These goals were adopted by 191 governments in 2000 to be achieved by 2015 through eight short feature films. The first goal is to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger. Based on this, a film entitled "Tiya's Dream". Zelalem Woldemariam worked as a First Assistant Director

A radio drama series produced in collaboration with Common Ground. Zelalem Woldemariam was involved as Writer/Director.

Nato e cresciuto a Addis Abeba, Zelalem Woldemariam ha iniziato la sua carriera professionale nel settore del Marketing, effettuando oltre 10 anni di esperienza in diverse organizzazioni. Nel 2006 ha scritto, diretto e prodotto il lungometraggio The 11th Hour (2006). Il film ha ottenuto numerosi riconoscimenti dalla critica e dal pubblico, nonché dai festival cinematografici internazionali a cui ha partecipato. Nel 2010, Zelalem ha diretto e prodotto un cortometraggio dal titolo Lezare, che racconta degli sforzi di una comunità per intraprendere azioni che avranno un impatto duraturo contro il riscaldamento globale. Lezare ha vinto numerosi premi e riconoscimenti.
