Released after a prison sentence for theft, young Manyisa with a cruel past and an uncertain future has a second chance with Jacob Musi, a well-meaning pastor. Convinced that a good deed is never free, Manyisa doubts Jacob's generosity. His rehabilitation is threatened by his former guardian Bra Stone, a criminal, who wants him to be with him.
