Voices of women and men, writers and journalists, make a kind of inventory of the situation in an Algeria shaken by the convulsions of its history. Religion and culture, language and identity, women and society, modernity and democracy, all themes dealt with from the place of their exile by Algerian intellectuals. In the reflection of this "unveiled" Algeria, the exile and the memory that inhabits these voices, both singular and multiple, are reflected.
