Serge Attukwei Clottey was born and raised in Labadi, located in Accra, Ghana. He has found a way to articulate his vision for art and social justice in the world.

Attukwei's artwork deals with issues of the environment, politics and cultural concerns within Ghana through his mixed- media sculptures and paintings. After graduating Junior High School, he later attended Ghanatta College of Art and Design where he did a four-year diploma in fine art.

In 2006, Attukwei through a sponsorship opportunity studied art in Brazil and came back with a new attitude towards his work and a renewed appreciation for everything in life. For him, art has always come first and it is as much a part of him as his skin.
