Mina doesn't come out to play on the beach with the other kids anymore. She has disappeared, locked up by her father who's hiding her from the world, because Mina is pregnant. Her lover cannot sort this out, she killed him and buried him under a salt mountain on the beach. Her father locked her up but his love for her increases. His second wife, known as being infertile, takes revenge by showing off a fake pregnancy in the village streets. But the small community is too nosey, secrets are too hard to hide. So Mina won't surrender to the laws of tradition when her child is born, she will find the strength to scream the truth to the whole village.
