Tunisian Filmmaker, Editor, Art Director.

Born in 1984 and raised in Tunis, Mehdi is a graduate of the Higher Institute of Multimedia Arts (ISAMM) in Tunis. He also has a university degree from DAMS in Bologna, Italy.
He directed three short films: A ma place / Sideways (2010), Bobby (2012) and On est bien comme ça (We are just fine like this / Khallina hakka khir) (2016) which have been selected in numerous international festivals where they have won several awards.
ON EST BIEN COMME ÇA won the Muhr d'or for Best Film in Dubai in 2016. A SON (UN FILS), his first feature film, was selected at the 76th Venice International Festival in the Orizzonti section, in which Sami Bouajila won the best actor award.

Mehdi M. Barsaoui nasce nel 1978. Nel 2006 si diploma in montaggio cinematografico all'Institut Supérieur des Arts Multimédias (Isamm) di Tunisi. Successivamente, grazie a una borsa di studio italiana, si specializza presso il Dams di Bologna.
Ha diretto tre cortometraggi: A ma place / Sideways (2010), Bobby (2012) e On est bien comme ça (2016) che sono stati selezionati in numerosi festival internazionali dove hanno vinto numerosi premi.
ON EST BIEN COMME ÇA ha vinto il Muhr d'or come miglior film a Dubai nel 2016. UN FILS, il suo primo lungometraggio, è stato selezionato al 76° Festival Internazionale di Venezia nella sezione Orizzonti, dove Sami Bouajila ha vinto il premio per il migliore attore.
