Simon Wood has been working as a director/producer for 13 years. Since 2003 he has been working in Southern Africa producing documentary content for networks from Europe, Asia and the United States.

Simon was the development executive on the feature film released in 2008 - Izulu Lami/ My Secret Sky, which detailed the lives of two orphans coming to terms with their mother's death.
Simon has directed a feature length documentary entitled Forerunners (2011, 55 min). Funded by the SABC, it focuses on members of South Africa's emerging black middle class. The film entered production in April 2010.

Prior to Africa, Simon worked as a producer for ITV in the UK for 5 years. He worked across a variety of departments, producing cinema, music and youth related content.
