Born in 1949 in El-Asnam, Algeria. Joint Swiss and Algerian citizenship. Since 1972 lives in Switzerland. Studied at D.H.E.C., Paris. Cameraman and director of photography. 1980 Studies in the United States. Since 1987 several commercials. Works as a producer and director of photography for the French Swiss Broadcasting Service (TSR) and for several other companies. 1998 Awarded Swiss Film Prize, Best Fiction Film ex-aequo for "WAALO FENDO"(là où la terre gèle)".
