Ruth Ketau is the Director for the Daru film for the Pawa Meri series.

Ruth is from the Eastern Highlands and resides in Goroka. She is a Senior Video Editor at the National Film Institute which is funded by the National Cultural Commission of Papua New Guinea. Ruth researched, filmed, directed and edited her first ethnographic documentary film titled "THE LAST REAL MEN". The documentary explores Ruth's journey into the men's world to revive her people's cultural male rituals of nose bleeding and cane swallowing. The Last Real Men was launched at the National Symposium on Culture and Arts in Development, in Port Moresby in November, 2012.  

Ruth's latest film, a political documentary, titled "JULIE the Governor", highlights Julie Soso's journey in the 2012 National elections.
